AIRI Summer Fellowships, Applications Open 2026

How to Apply

Send your CV to career@airifoundation.org and include the position you are applying for in the email subject. No cover letter is needed.

For all positions, if you want to stand out, include one artifact that shows us something your CV does not:

  • 1 A description of a real‑world task and an outline of how you would stress‑test an AI system on it (what prompts you'd use, what you'd look for, and how you'd decide the system is not safe or reliable enough). Keep it under 1 page.
  • 2 A diagram of how you would redesign an everyday process of your choice using AI.
  • 3 A 1‑page memo imagining a public institution deploying an AI system: lay out the strongest argument for deploying it and the strongest argument against, then state which side you come down on and what evidence would change your mind.
  • 4 A small automation or workflow you built that saved real time for you or others (include 3–5 lines of context).
  • 5 A short "reverse prompt‑engineering" exercise where you show us a bad AI output and explain the hidden assumptions that probably produced it.

Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
